I’ve mentioned before that overall health involves not only physical exercise and nutritional health, but emotional, spiritual, and environmental health.  Exercising with a partner or group of people adds to the workout experience by impacting all of these aspects.

Working out with a friend, significant other, or small group of friends creates an atmosphere that is different than exercising alone.

Motivational Moment: How about those Pats? You can come back too!

Ok I admit it.  I thought the Patriots were down and out after three quarters in the Super Bowl!  Shame on me!  But they were following a similar game performance as when they lost to the NY Giants in two Super Bowls.   It just goes to show what motivation and inspiration can do to turn around a game!  Tom Brady is inspired by his mother who has been quite ill.  He wanted this game for her.  The rest of the team followed!

Nutritional Knowledge You Can Use

Working as an exercise coach involves long hours.  My day starts when the alarm goes off at 4 am and I’m often not home til about 8 or 8:30 pm.  Don’t get me wrong, my day can have some breaks between classes, appointments, squeezing in a workout or run, and administrative work.  My office is 15 miles from home so running home is not an efficient use of time to get lunch or dinner.   So I like to put something together that is healthy and easy to bring with me for meals.
